Kempthorne House

Kempthorne House was built in 1770 for, it is believed, renowned Packet captain William Kempthorne. The house has a distinguished 18th century character and enjoys a sunny south westerly aspect. Today Kempthorne is home to Rob and Lucinda Rimmington, their son Tom, and Buzz the dog who is a friendly Münsterländer. Kempthorne is yards from the water's edge and, of course, Flushing's two local pubs which serve excellent pub food and drink throughout the year (see our food page).

Accommodation

Kempthorne offers two comfortable guest double bedrooms with an impressive private bathroom. The larger room, to the front, has a bay window with splendid views over the river where you can sit and watch the activity on the water. The second room has a sumptuous 5ft double bed, or twin beds if you prefer. It overlooks the peaceful rear courtyard garden. Whether you are in Cornwall on business or on holiday Rob and Lucinda welcome you to relax in their family home.

Breakfast

Served in the cosy Library Hall, breakfast is a feast of the best local produce consisting of your choice from sausages, bacon, free range eggs from the farm, home made jams, fresh fruit, yoghurts, a range of cereals, muesli and porridge. We will be happy to cater for your individual taste by prior arrangement.
