Tregew Vean

This picturesque 1760s Packet captain’s house is the home of Sandra and Rodney Myers. It is a friendly and relaxed home and you will be guaranteed a warm welcome. The house is set in an acre of gardens, has a southerly aspect and is situated above the village with views across the upper reaches of Falmouth Harbour.

 

Accommodation

Tregew Vean offers guests a comfortable, lovely double bedded room with views over the garden and estuary with a large, well equipped bathroom on a separate landing. There is a second smaller double room available if friends are happy to share the bathroom.

Breakfast

Breakfasts are a special feature at Tregew with local bacon, sausages and free range eggs. Bowls of fresh or stewed fruit are always available, as are home made bread and yoghurt. For those who like fish, kippers or smoked haddock can be offered with prior notice. Breakfasts are taken in the elegant dining room at your leisure and a daily newspaper is normally available.

Further Details

There is ample car parking and space for boat trailers. Sandra and Rodney are happy for guests to bring well behaved dogs. They have a friendly labrador called Meg. Tregew Vean is recommended in Alistair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay". For those interested in wine, Rodney works with a local wine merchant and runs wine appreciation courses from time to time.

Each of the double rooms is available from £40.00 per person per night.

Approach Flushing from Penryn/Falmouth. About 100 yards after the Flushing village sign there is an open gateway on the right (opposite a Give Way sign for the T junction ahead) There is a slate sign "Tregew Vean" on the old concrete milk churn stand just to the left of the entrance.
